YES CENTRE ENTERS CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL

The YES Centre entered a tree in the Port Augusta Christmas Tree Festival held from November 30 to December 3 in the Institute building, Commercial Road.

Students hand made all of the decorations and the finished result was quite spectacular.

A variety of different mediums were used, including felt, fabric, ribbon, hessian, sequins, beads, pasta and twine. A tree skirt, a star tree topper and a banner were also made.

Getting the tree down to the Institute proved to be quite an operation, with strong winds and rain hitting just as the tree was being loaded for transport. But, with the cooperation of several staff members the tree and decorations arrived unscathed at the destination.
