STUDENTS HOST HEALTH AWARENESS DAY

Stage 1 Health students and staff hosted a Health Awareness Day in YES on Thursday morning, June 22.

Students were tasked with researching a disease/illness of their choice and then had to collate information to present to the school community.

The students created displays and interactive resources to view in the YES Health room and discussed what they had learned with those who attended.

There were displays on Diabetes, Schizophrenia, Breast Cancer and Cirrhosis.

People could have their blood glucose levels measured on the day and students prepared pamphlets, recipes and ribbons for attendees to take with them.
