BEAUTY TREATMENTS OFFERED AT YES SALON DAY
The YES Centre Hair and Beauty Salon was open for business on Tuesday, September 18.
The Salon Day allowed students undertaking Certificate II Salon Assist and Certificate II in Retail Cosmetics the opportunity to be part of a functioning salon by providing an array of treatments to PASS staff and students.
Services provided by the students in this salon day included paraffin manicures and facials.
Students have learned about treatments and services, and have been perfecting them, in the past one three terms. Course lecturer Mrs Kristy Kuhn supervised students.
“We open our salon to simulate an actual salon environment, allowing students the experience of working with paying customers and developing communication skills,” Mrs Kuhn said.
“This experience allows the students to not only work on new clients but also allows them to gain experience in customer service and cash handling, which are vital skills in any successful salon.”
“We thank staff for their continual support, as this could not happen without you.”
