_{BUTTERFLY PINNING WORKSHOP IN YES}

The Animals Studies class in the YES Centre was lucky enough to have Kristen from ‘Bugs n Slugs’ visit and run a Butterfly Pinning workshop in Week 1 of Term 3.

It was a different experience for students who learnt about how the deceased butterflies are received from the SA Museum to be used for display purposes.

Students also learnt the process to relax the butterfly frames before they are pinned, and how to safely and carefully position the butterflies, then secure them to be used in a framed display.

Students’ work will be on display in the YES Centre when complete.
