GREEN TREE FROGS JOIN ANIMAL STUDIES

The Animal Studies family in YES has grown with the addition of two green tree frogs in Term 2.

During their visit to Ashleigh’s Aquariums in Whyalla, students collected the new frogs to join the Animals Studies program.

The frogs have a new bio-active terrarium that has been populated with plants and simulated trees and vines, a waterfall and regulated tropical temperature. There is also a fogger to increase humidity in the terrarium.

In the substrate (soil) there are springtails and isopods that are used as the mop up crew, to keep the terrarium clean.
