HERMIT CRABS JOIN MIDDLE SCHOOL CLASS

Ms Doran’s YES middle school class welcomed some new members at the begining of Term 2, with the addition of three new Hermit Crabs!

A competition was held to name the new additions who will now be known as Hermy, Sheldon and Cracker.

“The students will take care of the crabs daily to ensure their habitat is clean, they are well fed and have access to clean water,” Ms Doran said. “It is hoped they will not only teach students responsibility but will also help with their social and emotional wellbeing, and enhance their learning environment.”

As you can see from these photos the Hermit Crabs are already a hit with the students!
