SCIENCE WEEK IN YES

Last week was Science Week and middle school students in YES, under the direction of teacher Mrs Doran, took part in a variety of activities to mark the occasion.

They looked at sucrose molecules and made rock candy to see how sugar crystals can develop.

They also looked at Newton’s Third Law of Motion, making balloon rockets and analysed how they could make the balloons go faster or further.

Lastly, they made DIY Lava Lamps to look at how different substances with different densities react with each other and against a catalyst.
