YES Middle School Program & Subjects (7-8)

YES offers a Middle School Program for students who are not attending mainstream classes to support their individual learning needs. Students are generally referred by the Year 7&8 Assistant Principal after trialing a range of supports and interventions but YES will accept enrolments from families, other DFE and community services & programs.

YES Middle School Subjects 2022

All students study as a middle school group: English, Math, Humanities, STEM, LOTE (Italian and/or Adnyamathantha), Food and Culture, Digital Media. Students may also study from a range of multi-year levelled subjects including: Chess, Textiles, Cooperative games, Art, Fitness, Aboriginal Studies, Child Studies, Animal Studies, Hair and Beauty, and Health pathways. Some students may choose to have a hybrid program so they may continue to study subjects they are engaged with in mainstream learning areas.
