YES STUDENTS DESIGN AND BUILD ENCLOSURES FOR INVERTEBRATES
This term in YES, the Community Studies B – Animal Studies class has designed and built enclosures to house small invertebrates.
After consultation with an industry expert, students used technical drawing skills to design the enclosure, then used the laser cutter and 3D printers in the STEM building to make their product.
Some of the enclosures are now housing Goliath Stick Insects, stick insect nymphs, and Rhinocerous Beetle larvae.
Students are presently keeping observational notes and recording photographic evidence.
